About me

I received my Diploma in Electrical & Computer Engineering in 2017 from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Greece, under the supervision of Prof. Petros Maragos. I then spent 4 months in INRIA working as a researcher in the TROPICAL team, hosted by Xavier Allamigeon and Stephane Gaubert. Since late 2017, I'm a PhD student in Operations Research and Information Engineering at Cornell University, where I'm very fortunate to be advised by Damek Davis. I also work with Austin Benson and Anil Damle from Cornell CS. During the summer of 2021, I was a research intern in the Algorithms & Optimization group at Google Research NYC, hosted by Miles Lubin and David Applegate. During the summer of 2022, I interned at Google GCloud Infra hosted by Carlos Villavieja and Milad Hashemi. During the fall of 2022, I will be a Student Researcher at Google GCloud Infra hosted by Carlos Villavieja and Milad Hashemi.

I am on the 2022-23 academic job market. You can grab a recent copy of my CV here.

Research

I'm broadly interested in the mathematics of data science, especially the interplay of optimization and high-dimensional statistics, as well as large-scale numerical linear algebra. In the past, I've also worked on applications of tropical geometry to machine learning and automated theorem proving. Click here for a full list of publications.
