I am a fifth year Ph.D. student in the school of Operations Research and Information Engineering at Cornell University graduating Summer 2017. I work on combinatorial optimization problems under the advisement of David Williamson. I completed my undergraduate degree at Harvey Mudd College.
My main focus is to develop simple algorithms for discrete optimization problems. In particular, I am interested in when can we use greedy or combinatorial algorithms and obtain the same performance guarantees as with more complex methods. My work has focused on using these techniques for Max 2Sat, Max Cut, and revenue managment problems.
I am currently on the job market.
