About me
Currently, I am a postdoctoral student at University of Waterloo, working with Stephen Vavasis and Henry Wolkowicz. In the fall of 2014, I will be joining The Department of Mathematics at University of Washington as an Assistant Professor. I obtained my Ph.D. from the School of ORIE at Cornell University under the supervision of Adrian S. Lewis.
Research interests
My interests are in nonsmooth optimization, variational analysis, and the connections of these disciplines to semi-algebraic geometry. In particular, I enjoy working on problems exhibiting strong structural properties. The interplay between geometry, analysis, and optimization has been central in my work.

Activities
In my spare time, I enjoy playing basketball and tennis, as well as lifting weights. I am also a big fan of eating good food.
